Studying in Mexico

Process of validating previous degrees or studies 馃憠

If you obtained a degree in your country of origin, you can validate these studies so that they can be taken into consideration in Mexico. This is especially useful for obtaining work or for continuing with your studies.

First you should have the following documents on-hand:

  • Birth Certificate (with a translation, if necessary).
  • Immigration document.
  • Academic transcripts with a simple translation.
  • CURP
  • Diploma or official academic document showing the degree you obtained abroad, for which you wish to receive credit.

The cost of this process is around $40 pesos in the case of grammar school and junior high education and $1,500 for college level.

Depending on which level of education you wish to validate, indicates which institution you need to approach.
