General Recommendations 👉

To enter into any level of basic education, you will be asked to provide your birth certificate. Your immigration documents and proof of previous studies are necessary but they can be turned in at a later date, you must simply let the school know.

  • This first stage is not obligatory; babies from 45 days to 2 years and 11 months of age are included in this category.
  • Preschool promotes development in children from 3 to 5 years and 11 months of age.
  • Primary education is offered for children and adolescents from 6 to 14 years of age. Also, primary education is offered to for children and adolescents from 9 to 14 years of age who are living in an at-risk situation and to young people and adults who are over 15 years of age who were not able to complete their primary education.
  • Secondary education is completed in three years and attempts to provide children with tools that will help them throughout their lives.
  • High School level includes adolescents between 15 and 18 years of age, and at this stage the programs look to develop students’ personal and social skills to be able to move on to university level education.   • University level education consists of Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate programs and there are different types of programs that consist of in-person classes or distance learning courses, in public and private institutions.
