How can I request asylum at a Mexican airport? 馃憠

  • If you wish to request asylum at an airport in Mexico, you can approach any authority and tell them that you are afraid to return to your country of origin, because your life, liberty or personal security is in jeopardy in your country and due to this, YOU WOULD LIKE TO REQUEST ASYLUM IN MEXICO.

  • It is the obligation of ALL Mexican authorities to receive your request and advise COMAR (Mexican Commission of Assistance to Refugees) immediately. If the authorities do not comply with this obligation, they can receive a sanction (ARTICLE 21 OF THE CURRENT REFUGEE LAW IN MEXICO).
